I was hit by lightning....almost got me too. I went to film the hail I heard out the back window and within 2 seconds of turning on the video...Super loud BAM! Flash of light right in front of me. Nearly knocked me off my feet getting away. It fried the mother board to my AC, 2 TV's, whole house humidifier ifs fried, my treadmill only shuts down when pulling the plug, some small items too. But here I am.....whew. A neighbor sent me an email and said she saw the bolt head to my house.
I have a brother in AR, pray he does not live in the flood areas. I have to look it up. My sister in MO calls me up from the bathtub where she was taking shelter and said sirens were going off and was totally freaked out.

Yes, hurricane season starts officially June 1. Many Florida panhandle people are still homeless, some still living in tents due to damage from the last two, others have blue tarps for house siding & roofs.
I'm thanking God you are still ok, have been asking Him to keep you safe. I and several family members have had similar lightning experiences & losses. Two of them were killed on years apart occasions while at their kitchen sinks. The worst experience I know of one who survived was my aunt who was sitting in her bathtub bathing when a sudden lightning storm came up & knocked out the exterior wall and a section of the roof over her bathroom and ball lightning went round & round the rim of the tub, then entered the water faucet spout & was gone. She was left naked sitting in the water & exposed to the outside with rain & hail pelting down. It's only by God's Grace that she wasn't fried.
Am hoping tornadoes have not affected Psycho or his loved ones and will also keep you and your family in my prayers.

That thing was forming right in front of me but I did not know it actually touched down so close. Wasn't a bad one, only saw tree damage but then I didn't go very far.

Rain and showers the last four days and nights with more forecast all the way until at least Friday. Due to the rains temperatures have been lower, only up to about 90, which is better than the 100 or more which before that we had experienced every day for over a week. Rains have been accompanied by prolific and deadly lightning. Yesterday, lightning struck a motorcyclist on I-95 in his helmet; he crashed and died at the site. Four forest fires started attributed to lightning strikes.

Storms coming our way again today.....already posted flash flood warnings. Staring here around 5 pm although the sky is very dark right now.
Happy pollinator week! And the HOA sprayed insecticide today for beetles...unreal! I would not let them in my yard...that way they won't die on my watch. They will still fly next door and die. :-(

After the longest day of the year, days will start getting shorter beginning this coming weekend when official summer starts. I'm hoping to survive any hurricanes that come my way and already looking forward to October and November weather.

With the heat now getting into the high 90's A cool storm would be looking good as long as it wasn't to violent.

It sure did turn out just fine...but an hour south of DC, it was so foggy at fireworks time I just went to bed with ear plugs.
