End of "official" hurricane season although weather might not agree this year; hoping it doesn't decide to start early next year, January for instance. Tornadoes happen year around, one was on the ground west of here in Madison County, Florida about 2:15 AM night before last. Thankfully, no human injuries reported, an obvious blessing during sleeping hours. Snow in northern Alabama and Georgia this morning, dogs frolicking in it. No snow in forecast here this week but low in twenties & high in forties, then briefly warmer with weekend rain, then freezing again next week.
I went through a box of old things I had packed away during a move years ago, found a long sleeved heavy flannel pajama top bought in 1955, wore it last night, still warm and still fit. It had a made in USA label and they sure don't make any like it these days. Also found some beautiful fluffy all cotton washcloths that were the standard size of that time 16 x 16, Cannon made in the USA.
