My saucer magnolia tree survived lots of frosty mornings, but the rain and high wind we got the weekend dropped them all LOL It also got my red begonias Pfthttttttttt

I too have frog and tortoise watchers along with a colorful rooster, a bluebird, and memory provoking 60 year old children's toy elephant, brontosaurus, and 2 space-suited men. A hen and 3 chicks watch from outside on my porch. The wind and excessive rain last week caused most of the buds on my red and white double camellias to hit the ground. Very few blooms had the chance to open and the cold turned them brown. Some buds are still attached and I'm hoping they will open.

I bring in all my concrete animals for the winter. I've had some at least 17 years or more. The huge turtle takes cover under the patio on a dolly...too much trouble trying to get him inside the basement with his buddies.
