    Date When Celebrated : Always December 27 

    National Fruitcake Day celebrates the rock hard, fruit filled holiday cake. While fruitcake was popular in the 40's and 50's, we are not sure if anyone has ever eaten this weighty, gooey, sugar laden cake.

    I actually like it unless it's dry. Then you heat it up and put butter on it. :-)

    Wishing I had some, I love fruit cake, used to make it myself using a vanilla wafer recipe. If any has a chance to dry out I pour a little grape juice over it, put it in airtight refrigerator container & turn it over each day to distribute the moisture. It freezes well that way too.

    I love it, the brand I usually buy was always moist. Couldn't find it this year the brand I found is Williamson's and it is pretty dry but still good.
    I had two 20 oz cakes ,allready ate 1/2 of one. Have to really watch it drives my sugar way up LOL
