A woman in Pretoria South Africa has set a new world record in giving birth at 29 weeks to ten babies, 3 girls & 7 boys. Family members say 5 were natural birth followed by 5 by C section. The delivery team were surprised at ten since sonograms had indicated only eight. Early delivery was necessitated by leg problems she was having. She & husband insist the multiples resulted from natural conception and are also the parents of 6 year old twins. She broke the previous world record set last month, also in Africa, of nine babies. Those nine are reported to be doing well but still in incubators due to needing supplementary oxygen until their lungs are more mature.
