It looks like baby is thriving on that menu, both birds appear to be almost the same size. Thanks for sharing the delightful photos with us.
When golden years feel more like a bucket of rust it helps me to over ride the present by recalling happy moments in life such as time spent with my grandmother while she was milking her cow, washing clothes in an iron kettle next to the clothesline, cooking over a wood fire, raising the water bucket from the well to water her vegetable garden, gathering eggs from the hen house, & fishing for food for our next meal. Golden memories very few of which youth of today will ever experience.

We were talking the other day about those of us born in the 40-50's or before have seen so many inventions. We grew up without so much that today's kids take for granted.

Born in 54...We played with old pots and pans outside frying grasshoppers and making mud pies. lol We made forts in the woods by stuffing leaves in old chickenwire. I had to sew summer shorts and tank tops for all the younger kids growing up. There were 11 of us children. Even had to make my own prom dress. Took baths in a huge metal tub for cows drinking water, outhouse with Sears catalog for TP...pumped water from a well in the yard....life was hard compared to the spoils todays' children have thanks to our generations.

Had plenty to do back then. My chores was to chop kindling and bust up lumps of coal for the stoves, plus pump water to wash and fill up the water tank in the kitchen cooking stove . I think that stove held 50 gallon LOL I know it didn't but it sure seemed like it back then.

We had a furnace so big that it took up a whole room. We had to throw chopped wood and coal in too. Mom would make bread and sit the pans on top of it to rise and on occasion, the bread would blow up. Not easy clean up either. LOL But man, was it good with melted butter.
