I guess the persistent rain here has caused a sudden problem for me. I've squished 2 to 3" long brownish black centipedes on my kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom floors & shower, and found one crawling up the wall inside a clothes closet. Their venom is in the same category as wasps to which I am profoundly allergic. I have not found how they gained entry and research in how to get rid of them other than sealants for possible entry points; apparently roach/spider sprays, glue boards, or calling an exterminator are the only way. Supposedly they feed on other insects so I don't guess roach or ant traps would attract them. The only centipede traps I've found are sticky paper glue traps spread out along baseboards that they may travel along, but info says they are so tough that glue traps may just take off a leg or two but the centipede will escape and continue living.

Re: Centipedes
All the damp rainy weather probably the cause. Good old fashion fly paper sounds like it might work, at leas take a few legs off.
God luck to ya gitting rid of the boogers.

Re: Centipedes
Thanks for that idea Psycho. I do have some old fashioned fly paper, a lot better than putting out those expensive glue boards that trap mice, I'll give that a try. I'll look carefully inside my shoes & boots before putting them on and will put a smear of Vicks in little plastic lids around my recliner sleeping chair in hopes they will stay away from me at night. Torrential rain with lightning again this morning and still in the forecast for another day or so, then mainly just showers after that
